RHINO'S ON THE MOVE
Just over 500 rhino's are being moved from Kruger national Park to Botswana and Zambia. Moving the animals to places like Botswana will help protect them more because their are bigger places that are harder to get to so the poachers won't be able to get to the rhinos
They are doing this because there are poachers in that area that are trying to get the rhinos horns to make medicines and sell them for money. More than 630 rhinos have been killed this year and 400 in Kruger alone.
However moving more that 500 rhinos is not easy, because they have to track down the rhinos and bring them under control before they can be moved it will cost more than $2000NZD and that is allot in South Africa.
